Denny and Connie Hamrick Celebrate 40th (Ruby) Wedding Anniversary

Denny Hamrick and the former Connie Baltzell, of Rockford, Ohio, were married on December 3, 1971 by Reverend Charles Haddock at the Rockford Presbyterian Church.

Denny is retired from International Harvester-Navistar and is engaged in farming. Connie is a part-time educational aide at Parkway Schools and co-owns a catering business called Gourmet Girls.

The couple have three children: Heidi (Todd) Stemen of Van Wert; Trent (Tracy) Hamrick of Celina; and Chad (Lindsey) Hamrick of Rockford. There are 7 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild: Mikayla, Autmn; Logan; Peyton; Ashton; Gage; Landen; and Jacksen.

The entire family celebrated this milestone anniversary with a family dinner.
 

 
 
 
 

Sidenbenders to Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary

Tom and Barb Sidenbender will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, October 22. They were married on that date in 1961 at Bethany EUB. They have three children: Lori (Mark) Likens of New Bremen; Jeff (Claudia) of Rockford; and Steve (Melissa) of Celina. There are 5 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren to help the couple to celebrate.

 
 
 
 

Mr. & Mrs. Robert W. Hartman of Willshire Recognize Silver Wedding Anniversary

Robert Hartman & the former Cathy Linton were married by Pastor Gary Luderman on October 11, 1986 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schumm, Ohio.  They are the parents of two sons, Lucas age 23 and Dylan age 18.  Cathy is the daughter of Susan M. CEARNS’ CELEBRATE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY

Jim and Sarah Cearns of Willshire are celebrating a half-century of marriage.  Jim and the former Sarah Cleckner were wed on July 22, 1961 at Youngstown First Church of the Nazarene.   

Jim was employed for 35 years with the Aeroquip Corporation and retired from Federal Mogul after eight years of service.  Sarah was a former employee of the American Red Cross and has served the Brumback Library for nearly 25 years. 

The couple are the parents of three children:  Paul (Diana) of Convoy, Gary (Chris) of Decatur, IN and Susan (Brian) Wolfe also of Decatur, IN.  They have been blessed with seven grandchildren:  Sarah, Shalynn, Cody, Courtney, Cameron Cearns, Zachary and Alison Wolfe. 

 

Jim and Sarah will quietly celebrate this matrimonial milestone in the near future with immediate family at their favorite restaurant.  Cards may be sent to their home address at 15972 State Route 49, Willshire, OH 45898.

 
 
 

Brodbecks Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Earl and Marjorie Brodbeck of Willshire will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 2nd with an open house at the Willshire Sportsman’s club from 12:30 to 5 pm. Earl Brodbeck and Marjorie Zizelman were married on July 1, 1961 at the Willshire United Brethren Church, Reverend Wilber sites, officiating. The couple has one son, John Brodbeck and friends, Nikki, Kolby and Raya. Earl retired from Navistar and the Sunday Journal Gazette paper route. Marjorie cleaned houses for the elderly, the Willshire Post Office and the Willshire Sportsman’s Club.

 

 
 

ller Couple Celebrate Their 50th Wedding Anniversary

Wilmer and Patricia (Friedly) Iler of Angola, Indiana will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at Blue Gate Theater in Shipshewana on June 18 with friends, and July 2 with their immediate family.  They were married June 18, 1961, in the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Rockford, Ohio.  They have three children, Kevin and Donna Iler of Villa Park, Illinois, Steve and Kris Williams of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and Kent and Stacey Iler of LaGrange, Ohio.  They have been blessed with 12 grandchildren.  Wilmer was a Family Physician in Van Wert for 33 years.  He now works one day a week at Cameron Hospital Urgent Care, and volunteers for the Faith Based Clinic, and Well Child Clinic in Angola.

 
 
 
Gambles to Celebrate 60 Wedding Anniversary
Bill and Margaret (Craine) Gamble of Willshire will celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary with an open house from 12:30p.m.- 4:00p.m. on June 12 at the Hillside Bed & Breakfast, (Banquet Room) 2751 Van Wert Mercer County Line Rd., Willshire,Oh.

Instead of gifts, the couple requests that guests bring a special written memory to share over the last 60 years to add to their anniversary memory book.

Bill and Margaret were married June 9,1951, in the Church of the Brethren at Dupont by Rev. David Landis.

They are the parents of four sons: Ray Gamble of Ohio City, Steve(Kathy) Gamble of Rockford, John(Rickie) Gamble of Willshire, Dean(Angie) Gamble of Willshire and one daughter Joy(John)Koch of Huntington,In.

They have four grandaughters: Amanda(Seth) Kohnen, Ashley(Travis) Sensabaugh, Kayla & Karmen Koch; three grandsons: Mike Gamble, Trent (Betsey) Gamble, Troy Gamble, and two great grandsons Colton and Jace Gamble. A grandson,Trey Koch, is deceased.

Eugene and Verna Behm will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversaries on December 31, 2010. Eugene Behm and Verna Pifer were married on December 31, 1950 at Chattanooga Methodist Church. they have three daughters: Donna (Carl) Pond, Debra (Jim) Gibson and Dana (Gary) Linn  There are seven grandchildren and11 great-grandchildren, too.
 
 
Zizelman Couple Celebrating 50 Year Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Zizelman of Rockford, Ohio will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on November 24.  They were married in the Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley West Virginia on Thanksgiving Day, 1960.  She was the former Carol Ann Lewis of Beckley.  Matron of Honor was Mrs. Margery Kobelia of Beckley, and Mr. Roger Andrews of Chattanooga, Ohio was Best Man. They are the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Carla) Frank and Mrs. Paul ( Lee Ann ) Frank, both of Rockford.  They have four grandchildren, Hillary, Kendall, Caleb and Cole. Baker Couple to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Tom and Carolyn (Hamrick) Baker will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on September 16, 2010. The were married on this date in 1960 by Reverend John Perl at St. Paul’s Evangelical and Reform Church, now St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.

They have two children, Tamera Baker of Celina and Don (Renee) Baker of Indianapolis, Indiana. There are four grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

An open house is scheduled for September 25, 2010 from 2-4 PM at the church.

 

 
 
 

Fast Couple to Observe 50th Anniversary

John and Ada Fast, 5495 Fast Road Celina, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary.

John Eathen Fast and the former Ada Ruth Enyart were married June 25, 1960 at Mt. Tabor Church of God, Celina by Reverend Carl Binkley. The couple’s attendants were Mary Steiner, Joyce Stachler, Jean Rosengarten and flower girl Debbie Flore Roll and Dean Fast, Lowell Enyart, Bob Fast and ring bearer Donnie Enyart.

They are the parents of two children, listed with their spouses: Twyla and Curtis “Pete” Hayes, Rockford and John Douglas and Tammey Fast, Live Oak, Florida. They have four grandsons; Jared, Nicholas and Ethan Hayes and Jeremy Fast.

John Fast is a farmer and retired after 43 years from Huffy Bicycles, Celina and Ada worked at Huffy Bicycles for 32 years and is retired from Bing Lear, Berne, Indiana.

A private celebration is being planned by the couple’s family.

 

 

 

 
 
 
Richard and Sondra Samples Celebrate 50 Years Together
Richard and Sondra (Schlickman) Samples of Rockford were married in Willshire on May 7, 1960 at the Willshire United Methodist Church by Reverend William Powers.   

They have 3 children: Susan (Ed) Vachino of Pennsylvania; Kerry (Rhonda) Samples of Defiance; and Steve (Teri) Samples of Rockford. There are seven grandchildren, too.
 
 
 
 
Farrel and Sharon Krall to Celebrate 50 Years of Marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Krall of Willshire, Ohio will celebrate 50 years of marriage on April 23, 2010.  Farrel and Sharon (Hoverman) were married on April 23, 1960 at the Willshire United Methodist Church by Pastor William Powers.   

They are the parents of five children:  Kevin, Karen Bollenbacher, Karrel (Kerry) Adams, Kendra (Lynne) Miller of Willshire and Kurt (Angie) of Wren.  The couple has 9 grandchildren: Jamie and Kassie Bollenbacher, Deidre, Kami and Austin Adams, Sophia, Lydia and Adria Miller, Hayden Heckman and one great-grandson, Ayden Tullis.  They have one grandson, David Bollenbacher, who is deceasedSharon’s mother, Irene Hoverman, is a resident at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford, Ohio. 

Farrel retired from Navistar International, Inc. after 36 years of service and is currently a truck accident litigation consultant.  They owned and operated Willshire V & S Variety Store from 1972-1985.  Sharon is the current mayor of the Village of Willshire. 

An open house is planned for Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Praise Point United Brethren Church in Willshire.  Gifts are requested to be omitted as your friendship is one of the greatest gifts they have.  However, if you feel a gift is necessary, Farrel and Sharon would prefer a donation to “Community Health Professionals – Hospice The Caring Way,” Van Wert, Ohio.

Stephenson Couple Celebrates 50 Years  of Marriage
Larry and Joella (Lehrman) Stephenson , of Chattanooga, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 26, 2010. In 1960, they were married in Monroeville, Indiana. They have five children, Paula (Herb) Schumm, Spencerville; Beth, Daytona Beach, Florida; Scott, Hamilton, Ohio; Lisa (Jay) Hunter, Willshire; and Luke, Rockford. They are blessed with nine grandchildren. Larry is retired from the family business, Stephenson Home Improvement. Joella has been a homemaker throughout. There is an Open House from 2-4 PM on Saturday, April 10 at the Rockford Community Building at Shanes Park in Rockford. Homer and Joy Kraner, 11210 Herman Road, Rockford, will celebrate 50 years of wedded bless. Homer Kraner and the former Joy Sink were married March 5th, 1960 at Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert.

The couple are the parents of six children, listed with their spouses: Mitch and Robin Kraner, Ohio City; Rob and Stacie Kraner and Andy and Katie Kraner, Rockford; Greg and Diane Kraner, Melody and Scott Hileman and Megan and Cory Fitzsimmons, all of Van Wert. Marsee Couple Celebrates 50 Years  of Marriage
Conley and Darlene (Thatcher) Marsee of Rockford, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, January 16, 2010. They were married by Reverend Carl Binkley in Rockford on January 16, 1960

Conley is retired from International Harvester, Springfield and Darlene is retired from Huffy Bicycles in Celina.

The couple are the parents of four children: Brenda (Brian) Stover of Rockford, Todd (Lori) Marsee of Ft. Myers, Florida, Cindy (Curt) Abbott of Auburn, Indiana, and Karla (Todd) Baltzell of Rockford. They have 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren.

 

 

Conley and Darlene's children are hosting an Open House on Saturday, January 16 from 2-5 PM at New Horizons Community Church, 833 S. Main St., Rockford. An open invitation is extended to all family and friends.

Paul and Susan Luth to Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary
Miss Susan Mary Hutchinson, Celina, became the bride of Paul William Luth, Rockford, at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 1959. Rev. Sidney R. Boggs and Rev. Richard Crosby officiated in the Erastus Methodist Church. Barbara Granger served as maid of honor and Jerry Luth was the best man.

Paul and Susan have two sons: Mike (Erin) Luth of Troy, Ohio and Mark (Charyl) Luth of Celina.  They have eight grandchildren; Erika, Tara, Trevor, Derek, Jason, Tim, Tucker and Skyler.

For many years, Paul worked as a carpenter and a farmer. He is currently enjoying retirement. Susan has worked at JC Penny and is currently working at Celina City Schools.

 

They will celebrate their 50th Anniversary on Sunday, October 25th in the fellowship hall at St. John’s Lutheran Church Hopewell from 2 until 4 p.m.  Friends and family are invited to share their special day. Gause Couple Celebrates 65 Years in Marriage
Lloyd and Florence Gause will observe their 65th wedding anniversary on October 15, 2009.


Lloyd Gause and the former Florence Shively were married October 15, 1944 at the Gause family farm on Grauberger Road, Blackcreek Township.

 
The couple have three children, listed with their spouses: David and Lois Gause and Vickie and Tim Bollenbacher, of Rockford; and Margie and Jay Ellis of Celina. They also have 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
