ARRAIGNMENTS

Zachariah Young, 28, Van Wert , entered a not guilty plea to Domestic Violence, F4. He was released on a surety bond with an order to have no contact with the victim. Pretrial set for 3/18/15 @ 8 am

Chad Kouts, 25 Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to Possession of Heroin, F5. He was released on a surety bond. Pretrial set for 3/18/15 @ 8 am

Adam Partin, 22, Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to 2 counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, F4. He was released on a surety bond with an order to have no contact with the victim. Pretrial set for 3/18/15 @ 8 am

Tyler Lovette, 21, Maria Stein, OH, entered not guilty pleas to Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, F4, and 2 counts of Importuning, each a F5. He was released on a surety bond with an order to have no contact with the victim. Pretrial set for 3/18/15 @ 8 am

Carl Gheen, Sr., 68, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to Importuning, F5. He was was released on a surety bond and pretrial set for 3/25/15 @ 8 am

Ashley Burk, 26, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, She was released on a surety bond and pretrial set for 3/25/15 @ 8 am



JUDGE CHARLES STEELE:

SENTENCINGS

Michael Keipper, 25, Van Wert appeared for sentencing on charges of Attempted Murder, F1, Aggravated Burglary, F1, and 2 counts of Felonious Assault, each a F2. He was sentenced to 10 years prison each on Attempted Murder and Agg Burglary, concurrent, and 5 years prison each on the Felonious Assault charges, concurrent, but those are consecutive to the first two charges for a total prison sentence of 15 years. He was also ordered to pay restitution to Cody Detwiler of $51,343.93.

Ernie Teman, 40, Delphos, theft, Misdemeanor 1, 1 year community control, 30 days jail beginning Saturday, with work release, additional 30 days jail at a later date, 100 hours community service, ordered to pay court costs. Restitution was paid before court. 180 days jail and $1,000 was deferred.

Austin Coyne, 22, Convoy, Attempted Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs, F4, 3 years community controlled, up to 6 months at WORTH Center, additional 30 days jail at later date, 200 hours community service, 2 years intensive probation, Driverís License suspended 6 months, ordered to pay court costs and partial appointed counsel fees. 18 months prison was deferred.

CHANGES OF PLEA

David Boff, Jr. 22, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to Illegal Use of Minor in Nudity Oriented Performance, F4. A second charge of Pandering, also F4, was dismissed for his plea. The Court ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for 3/18/15 @ 1 pm

Roy Densel, Jr. , 40, Van Wert, entered a plea of guilty to Possession of Drugs, F5. He then requested and was granted Treatment in Lieu of Conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of treatment

Richard Stegaman, 48, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to Illegal Use of Supplemental Nutrition or WIC benefits, F5 , the Court ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for a date to be announced.

Travis Potter, 27, Celina, entered a guilty plea to a Prosecutorís Bill of Information charging him with Breaking and Entering, Felony 5. He was released on a surety bond. The Court ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for April 1, 2015 @ 1 pm

JUDICIAL RELEASE HEARING

Ethan Mezuk, 24, Convoy, appeared on his Motion for Judicial Release from prison. Judicial Release was granted and defendant was placed on 3 years community control, 200 hours community service, 2 years intensive probation, ordered to pay court costs and partial appointed counsel fees. 9 months prison deferred. 60 days jail at later date.

PROBATION VIOLATION

Bethany Wreath, 25, Van Wert, admitted to violating her probation by moving to Tennessee without permission, failed to submit to drug test, and fail to complete counseling. She was sentence3d to 12 months prison on each of two counts, concurrent, with credit for 23 days served.

CHANGE OF PLEA

Quentin Schmenk, 32, Van Wert, entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of Domestic Violence, misdemeanor 1, (reduced from DV, Felony 4). Defendant was released on a surety bond with the no contact order still in place. Sentencing April 1, 2015 @ 10:15 am
