Re: Arraignment Hearings on Grand Jury Indictments
Arraignments on indictments issued by the Van Wert County Grand Jury which had met in regulars session last Friday were held in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court before Magistrate Joseph E. Quatman.
Michael Coombs, Sr., 44, Van Wert man with no known permanent entered pleas of not guilty to a Grand Jury indictment charging him with two counts of Breaking and Entering, three counts of Receiving Stolen Property misdemeanors counts and three counts of Receiving Stolen Property all felony counts.
Coombs had just recently been released from the Van Wert County Correctional Facility on June 9th, 2008 on a similar related theft charge after having serving 180 day sentence when he allegedly committed a Breaking and Entering at a storage building located at 211 N. Shannon Street, Van Wert, Ohio.
A Van Wert City Police Department investigation Coombs allegedly broke into this building two different occasions and may have been illegally living in the building after release from the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.
The three counts of Receiving Stolen Property which were misdemeanors and the three counts of Receiving Stolen Property which were felonies were all allegedly to have occurred during the month of June when Coombs reportedly was selling collectibles that had been stored in the building.
Magistrate Quatman ordered that Coombs be ordered held on a $2,500 cash bond with a ten percent privilege along with a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..

Austin Fetter, 19, Van Wert, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Tampering With Evidence.
According to a Van Wert City Police Department investigation Fetter allegedly stole a car from the Moose Lodge parking lot on June 17th of this year, the vehicle was recovered the following morning partially concealed by water at a local park.
Fetter was ordered held in the Van Wert County Correctional Facility on a $2500 cash bond with a ten percent privilege along with a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond.
A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..
Rhonda Risley, 39, Convoy, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to one count of Theft From An Elderly Person a felony of the fifth degree.
A Van Wert City Police Department alleges that Risley deceptively entered a home of an elderly under the guise to use a phone during which time she allegedly took some cash belonging to the elderly person
Risley was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond with a pretrial scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..
Joseph A. Mohr, 32, Van Wert, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Aggravated Assault a felony of the fourth degree.
According at a Van Wert City Police Department investigation Mohr allegedly assaulted a Tim Tromblay at a local residence on June 8th of this year.
Mohr was ordered held on a $50,000 cash bond with a ten percent privilege along with a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..

Melissa Moore, 20, Van Wert, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to a two count indictment charging here with Receiving Stolen Property, both counts felonies of the fifth degree.
Moore is being held on a $2500 cash bond with a ten percent privilege along with a $5,000 personal surety bond. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..
Robert Adkins, 29, Van Wert, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Theft a felony of the fifth degree.
Adkins was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond with a pretrial hearing scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..
James Hancock, 23, Delphos, Ohio entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of Felonious Assault a felony of the second degree.
According to a Van Wert City Police Department investigation Hancock allegedly tried to strike his estranged girl friend with is vehicle at a residence located here in Van Wert on June 8th of this year.
Hancock was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond with an additional condition that he have no contact with the victim Bethany Wreath. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..
Nicole L. Martin, 23, Van Wert, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Forgery a felony of the fifth degree.
It is alleged that Martin forged another persons signature to a document she filed with Van Wert County Jobs and Services.
Martin was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond with a pretrial hearing scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..

James Moore, 28, Van Wert, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to an indictment charging him with two counts of Receiving Stolen Property.

Erick Thomas, 24, Van Wert, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to a charge of Theft a felony of the fifth degree.
According to a Van Wert City Police Department investigation Thomas was allegedly stealing metal construction material of a storage area owned by Alizera Ziakom.
Thomas was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond with a pretrial hearing scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..
Colby Black, 24, Van Wert, Ohio entered a not guilty plea to a once count indictment charging him with Possession of Drugs a felony of the fifth degree.
Black was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond with a pretrial hearing scheduled for July 30th, 2008 at 8:00 a.m..
