Janice E. Bowlby, age 85, of Celina, passed away Wednesday evening, December 23, 2015 at Celina Manor.


She was born June 7, 1930 near Rockford, to the late Lloyd & Zedna (Boice) Canary.


Janice and Clarence A. Bowlby were married on Oct. 25, 1950, and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2005.


She is survived by their 4 Children: Deborah Hole, Don (Rhonda) Bowlby, 

Beverly (Steven) Stansbury and Kelly (Tami) Bowlby; a Sister: Letha Hight, 

a Sister-in-law: Marjorie Canary, and a Brother-in-law: Bob Weitz, all of Celina. 


Also surviving are 12 Grandchildren: Travis & Trent Hole, Brent (Wendy) Hole, 

Kaci (John) Taylor, Felicia & Nick Cottman, Emily, Haylie, Kyler & Taryn Bowlby, 

Ariel Edwards and Devon Stansbury, and 10 Great Grandchildren: Jacob Hole, Abigail, Allie & Natalie Taylor, Nyah & Maddox Fitzgerald, Lexi, Brenden & Lydia Cottman and Nilah Melendez.      


She was preceded in death by a Son-in-law: David Hole, a brother & two sisters: Darlene Canary, Naomi Painter and Imogene Menchhofer, Brothers-in-law: Harold Painter, Cletus Menchhofer Jr. and Elmer Hight, and a Sister-in-law: Evelyn Weitz.    


A homemaker, Janice had worked at Celina Insurance Group and Huffy Bicycles. She was a 1948 graduate of Rockford High School, and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina.  Janice enjoyed gardening and collecting dolls.


Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Doug Meyer 

officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.


Calling Hours are 2-4 & 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, December 28, at the Funeral Home.
