MATTHEWS

   
Mary Ellen Matthews, 86, of Celina, Ohio, died at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina.

She was born March 6, 1921, in Van Wert County, to Glenn R. Sr. and Leah (Mottinger) Matthews.

Surviving are a brother James I. (Beverly), Celina; three sister, Margaret McBride, Brookville, OH, Norma Jean (Milton) Davidson, Celina and Marilyn (Gary) Stewart, Ruskin, Florida.

One brother glenn R. Matthews, Jr., one sister, Judy K. Menchhofer, and a brother-in-law, Don McBride preceded her in death.

She had worked at the former Barr Company in Celina and was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church where she taught sunday School, was a song leader and member of the women's group.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at W.H. Dick and Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, Ohio, the Rev. Don Ricard officiating.

Burial will be in Norht Grove Cemetery, Celina, Ohio.

Visitation is Tuesday from 3 - 8 PM (February 12, 2008), at the funeral home.
