Tamara K. (Kerrigan) Muhlenkamp, 43, Rockford, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008, at  Rockford.  Death was due to an extended illness.
 

She was born December 31, 1964 in Portland, IN. to  Merlin (Pete) and Joan (Louck) Kerrigan. She graduated from Jay County High School, Portland, IN and Ball State University, Muncie, IN.  On  June 25, 1988 she married Anthony Muhlenkamp and he survives.

Tammy moved to the Rockford area in 1988 and was treasurer of Parkway Local Schools.

Surviving along with her parents and husband are two sons; Matthew Kerrigan, Iowa and Nicholas Muhlenkamp at home; three brothers; Jeff Kerrigan, Redkey, IN, Gary (Rita) Kerrigan, Portland, IN, and Randy (Connie) Kerrigan, Kendalville. IN; two sisters; Vicki (Alan) Mark, Portland, IN. and Cindy (Ken) Myers, Portland, IN.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 10:30 A. M at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, with Rev. Jeff Hammers officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Viewing will be Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or Celina Area Visiting Nurses and Hospice.

He was born February 6, 1949 in Sidney, Ohio to Vernon Leroy and Lela (Fleming) Castle, who are deceased. He married Marlene Foster on July 7, 1967, and she survives.

Fours sons also survive: Vernon L, III and John of Mendon, Ohio, Patrick of St. Marys and Michael of Sidney; one sister, Darlene (John) Moorman, St. Marys; and 15 grandchildren.

Three infant siblings are deceased.

Mr. Castle was a tool and die press operator.

Services are at 11 AM on Thursday, February 28 at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys with the Reverend Bill Drummond officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Calling is 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
