Zachary
Clark Gent, 19, of Van Wert , Ohio, died January 27, 2008, at his
residence.He was born April 4, 1988, in Van Wert , Ohio to Robert E.
(Katherine) Gent, Decatur, Indiana and Leslie Custer (fiance Troy
Shindeldecker), Convoy .
He is survived by two brothers, Bronson "BJ" Brown and Chandler Brown,
Convoy; and one sister, Jordanlee "Brooke" Custer, Convoy; grandmothers,
Judy Meade Las Vegas, NV and Betty J. (David) Langorn Ft. Wayne, IN; Great grandmother;
Laura Nelson Stuart, FL; an uncle, Rick (Melisa) Gent Convoy; and an
aunt, Dawna (Rod) Miller Decatur, IN
Preceded in death by grandfathers Robert "Whitey" Gent and Jerry L.
Custer and great grandmother, Willy Vanover
He was Employed at Crown in Bluffton, IN and was a 2007 Graduate of Van
Wert High School where he played football, track, and was a wrestler. He
also attended Vantage Vocational Center. He loved Ohio State football,
Kentucky Wildcats basketball, the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs. He
was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Post 178 in Van Wert and
Post 499, Ft. Wayne.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 31 at Cowan &
Son Funeral Home Van Wert.
Burial will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery Convoy, Convoy, Ohio with
Rev. Paul W. Miller of First United Methodist Church officiating.
Calling will be from 2-8 PM on Wednesday, January 30 at Cowan & Son
Funeral Home Van Wert.
Preferred memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or
American Cancer Society. |
