She was born April 21, 1921, near Wren, Ohio the daughter of Clarence Clyde and Anna W. (Kever) Jones and Ada (Fluckiger) Jones.
Survivors include two brothers Howard D. (Joan) Jones of rural Ohio City and Leon B. (Joyce) Jones of Defiance; a sister Pauline Jones of Van Wert; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, W. Josephine Myers and five brothers, Lloyd C. Jones, Paul Jones, Harold Harry Jones, Sr., Daniel Clyde Jones , and Floyd W. Jones.
Marcile was a 1940 graduate of Wren High School and the candidate for Peony Queen from Wren School. She had retired from General Electric in Decatur with over 43 years of service. She was a member of the former Wren United Methodist Church and the Wren Garden Club.
Services will be held at 10:30 Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert with Pastor Keith Jones and Chaplain Linda Jones (her nephew and niece) officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City. Calling hours at Wednesday 4 – 8 p.m.
