SILL

Stanley D. Sill, 69, of Rockford, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Lima Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since January 1, 2008.  He was born on August 7, 1938, to Bill and Bessie (Bienz) Sill in Rockford, Ohio.  On June 2, 1959, he married Katy Amstutz, and she survives.  He had worked at the former Rockford Press for 11 years, and then worked in maintenance at Aeroquip in Van Wert, retiring after 27 years there.  He also was an auctioneer for many years and enjoyed  ownership of  modified race cars. He attended many of the races.

 

Survivors, in addition to his wife Katy, are two sons and their wives:  Tony Douglas (Tracy) Sill of Van Wert, Ohio; and Rusty Duane (Diana) Sill of Rockford. One brother, Jerry Lee (Marjorie) Sill of Rockford also survives, along with 6 grandchildren: Trevor (Emily) Sill, Erica Sill, and Cody Sill of Willshire, Heidi Sill, Madison Sill and Abigail Sill of Van Wert.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday at  11:00 A.M. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford with Pastor Robert Loar officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.  Friends may call on Sunday from 2-8 pm. And on Monday, 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.  Condolences can be sent at ketchamripleyfh@embarqmail.com.

 
SNYDER

R. Kay Snyder, 61, passed away from cancer on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  She was born in Mercer County on April 8, 1946, to the late Waldo W. and the late A. Lucille (Freewalt) Snyder in Rockford, Ohio.  In 1979, she married James M. David, and he survives.

Two brothers  Terrill and Stephan and a sister Jill (Dan) Myers all survive in Celina.

Deceased is a brother, Woodrow.

She was a registered nurse, a 1964 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, and a graduate of University of Cincinnati's nursing program.

A memorial service is planned for January 26 in Idaho Falls and later in Celina.
