Beverly A. Heffner, age 68, of rural Celina, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She loved her Lord, family, and friends.


She was born April 8, 1947 in Decatur, IN, to the late Lester E. & Hazel E. (Linn) Ferguson.


She married James Heffner on October 30, 1971, and he survives. 


Also surviving are her Son, Jason (Carmen) Heffner of Convoy, Daughter, Danielle Heffner of Philadelphia, PA, Step-Granddaughters: Nevada & Savannah Smith, Siblings: Becky Rasawehr, Max (Joy) Ferguson, Deborah (Tom) Smalley and Rex (Marilyn) Ferguson - all of Celina, Mary Jo (Steve) Muhlenkamp of Portland, IN and Peggy (Mike) Stroh of Wapakoneta,   


She was preceded in death by her Mother & Father-in-law: Walter & Vera Heffner and a Brother-in-law, Kenneth Rasawehr.


She held various office and clerical positions while working at Mersman Tables, Thunderbird, Dunbar Furniture, Huffy Bicycles and Fanning & Howey, and retired from CAPT in 2013.  She worked part-time as a clerk at Kaup Pharmacy in Berne, following her retirement.


She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, where she taught Sunday School, was a choir member, and served as Superintendent of Adult Education and President and Secretary of Women's Fellowship. 


She was a member of the Celina Flower & Garden Club, and a 1966 graduate of Celina Senior High School.


Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina,  with Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina. 


Calling Hours are 2:00 - 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 2 and 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, at the Funeral Home.


Memorial Contributions may be made to C.A.L.L. Food Pantry, Parkway Backpack Program or Cancer Association of Mercer County.
