KIMMEL

   
Joan Kimmel, 85, of Dublin, (and a former resident of Mercer, Ohio) died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Whetstone Care Center.

She was born April 10, 1922, in Celina, the daughter of Edward and Florence (Nungester) Eichenauer. She married Paul Kimmel on December 22, 1946, and he survives.

She is also survived by a daughter, Diane (Tom) Schumm of Dublin; four sisters, Vivian (Dillon) Laffin of Houston, TX, Marjorie (Rev. Robert) Ellis and Virginia Strable all of Celina, and Imogene Homan, Angola, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Jane Eichenauer of Celina; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
 
A brother, Nelson Eichenauer preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kimmel was formerly a St. Marys and Celina Schools teacher. She was a 1939 graduate of Celina High School and a graduate of Bowling Green and Miami Universities.  She belonged to Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Rev. Robert Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
 
Visitation will be 3-8 PM on Tuesday, January 8 the funeral home.
