Aliceruth Kimmel, Celina, formerly of Rockford, died Monday, July 14,
2008 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born January 17, 1923, in Maumee, Ohio to Virgil and Ruth (King)
Edwards. On March 9, 1940 she married Edwin Kimmel and he preceded her
in death on August 26, 1995.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church
and the ladies organization.
Surviving are three sons; Charles (Lynn) Kimmel, Noblesville, Indiana,
Dale (Judy) Kimmel, Green Valley, California, and Thomas (Kathy) Kimmel,
Celina, Ohio; one sister, Barbara Edwards, Phoenix, Arizona; 10
grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Deceased is one brother,
Thomas Edwards.
Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at St. Paul’s
United Methodist Church, Celina, with Pastor Kim Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Friends may call at
Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, on Friday, July 18, 2008 from 2-8
p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church.
