FORD

Pastor Edwin Lauren Ford, Jr., 80, of Woodburn, Indiana, formerly of Willshire, Ohio, died at his daughter’s home in Woodburn, on Thursday, July 5, 2018. 

 

He was born in Lima, Ohio, on June 15, 1938, the son of Edwin Lauren Ford, Sr. and Matilda( McDorman )Martin Ford.  He married Reva Kay Miller on June 7, 1956, and she preceded in death on January 24, 2007.  He was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Army Reserves.  Pastor Ford was an ordained minister, and pastored at the Church of God in Willshire, from 1972-1981, and was a member of the Willshire Ministerial Association. 

 

He and Reva moved from Willshire in 1981; he pastored in Linton, Indiana and Seymour, Indiana for the Church of God congregations there.  Upon retiring from the ministry, he and Reva moved back to Willshire in 2004, where they called their home.   He was a wonderful woodworking craftsman, and enjoyed making beautiful objects from a shapeless piece of wood.  He enjoyed his family, and adored and loved all his grandchildren; family was everything to him.

 

Surviving are two children:  Kim (Matt) Feasel of Woodburn, Indiana, and Jeff (Terri) Ford of Columbus, Ohio; 35 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and 1 step-sister, JoAnn (Marvin) Reichart.  Deceased is a son, Edwin Lauren Ford III.

 

Services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018, at noon, at Praise Point Church in Willshire, Ohio, with Pastor Phil Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Willshire Cemetery. 

 

Friends may call at the church on Monday, 10:00 a.m. until Noon, at which time the service will begin.

BOROFF
Mary C. Boroff, age 86, of Mendon, Ohio, passed away at Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, Ohio, on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 8:02 am.  She was born December 10, 1931 in Mercer County to the late Ed W. and Viola M. (Lawrence) Hone.  She married Carlton “Duane” Boroff and they were together for 62 years; he survives at the residence. 

 

Other survivors include two sons, Dennis S. Boroff and Randy D. Boroff, both of Mendon; a sister, Barbara (Bob) Thees, Celina; a brother-in-law, Robert Zizelman, Mendon; and a sister-in-law, Janice Hone, Mendon.

 

Also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Doris (Orille) Snyder, Inez (Clyde) Goins, Ermal (Valier) Amstutz, Phyllis Elaine Zizelman, George (Dorothy) Hone, Carl Hone, Frank (Judy) Hone, John (Sandy) Hone, and Sherman McCourt. 

 

Mary was a 1950 graduate of Celina Senior High School, and attended Cleveland Bible College.  She was a licensed practical nurse and retired after many years of service.

 

She was a member of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert, Ohio.

 

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina with Rev. Allan Brown officiating, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.   Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
