BASHORE
 

Juanita Virginia Bashore, 87, of Rockford, died at 6:58 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born September 12, 1923, in Mercer County, the daughter of the late Donald E. and Mabel I. (Lillick) Whitmore. On October 16, 1948, she married Christie F. Bashore, who survives in Rockford.

Other survivors include a son, Gregg (Sandy) Bashore of Van Wert; one daughter, Janet (Doug) Wierwille of Rockford; a brother, Don (Carolyn) Whitmore of Spencerville; one sister, Ruth Gribler of Van Wert; and five grandchildren.

Three brothers, Robert, Verl and Paul Whitmore, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastors W. Clark Williman and Steven Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, June 12, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

DONALDSON
Lawrence A. Donaldson, 80, of Van Wert, died at 3:50 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Van Wert Manor.

He was born March 30, 1931, in Gouverneur, N.Y., the son of the late Paul and Rosamond May (McIntosh) Charter. On November 6, 1951, he married Mary Louise (Shook) Donaldson, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two sons, Terry Lee Donaldson of Van Wert and Mark Allen (Joyce) Donaldson of Allen, Texas; a sister, Agnes Marchione of Gouverneur, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A brother, Clifford Donaldson, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Schibler officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery in rural Van Wert County, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honors unit of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 13, at an hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
