GRIMM  

Margaret Helen Grimm, age 96, of Celina, Ohio and longtime resident of Maplewood of Shane’s Village, Rockford, passed away at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:45 pm.  She was born December 8, 1921 in Mercer County to the late Clarence E. and Margaret Edna (Crow) Williams.  She married Fred E. Grimm and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2009.

 

Other survivors include her children, F. Eugene (Margie) Grimm, Prescott, Arizona, Barbara A. Greene, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Dwight C. (Brenda) Grimm, Centerburg, Ohio; a son-in-law, Kelly Overton, Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. 

 

Also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Overton; and two brothers, Kenneth (Lela) Williams, and Ernest L. (Mary) Williams. 

 

Margaret was a 1940 graduate of Neptune High School.  She was a homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper. 

 

She was a member of Neptune Church of God in Neptune, Ohio.

 

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina with Pastor Tim Clutter officiating, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

 

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina. 

 

Memorial Contributions may be made to C.A.L.L. Food Pantry, 420 N. Brandon Ave., Celina.

SMERIK

Marcella "Sally" Smerik, 97, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Friday, 

June 22, 2018, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, Ohio, where she 

was on hospice care following a stroke. 

 

She was born in Celina, Ohio, on September 16, 1920, the daughter of 

Floyd and Nora (Hone) Felver.  

 

A graduate of Celina High School and a registered nurse, she married

Frank Smerik on January 8, 1944. Frank preceded her in death in 1999. 

 

She was a nurse, homemaker, and worked beside Frank farming their land. 

She attended Grace Missionary Church in Celina, Ohio for many years.

 

Surviving are five daughters: Karen (Eldon) Gerber of Kidron, Ohio; 

Sandy (Russ) Voorhees of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Miriam (Randy) Zacharias 

of Celina, Ohio; Becky (Lloyd) Sarasin of Celina, Ohio and Jan (Doug) Teeple 

of Hudsonville, Michigan. She has 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

 

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 

at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, Ohio. 

Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, Ohio.

 

Viewing will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, 

from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 

June 27, 2018, prior to the service.

 

Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice, Coldwater, Ohio.
