Dorothy Jane Brandt, 76, Willshire, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at her residence.

She was born January 31, 1932, in Lima, OH. to Samuel A. and Bertha E. (Pester) Rupert.  On February 18, 1951, she married Thomas Brandt and he survives.

She was a homemaker and had worked at Tu-Way Mop Factory, Rockford and Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga where she taught Sunday School and had been director of Sunday School Services, and was very active in Women’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

Surviving along with her husband, Tom are two sons; Stephen (Tina) and Larry (Jackie) Brandt, Willshire, OH; three daughters; Susan (James) Sexson, Tucson, AZ, Sandra (Ted) Bollenbacher, Rockford, OH, and Lisa (Monte) Everett, Decatur, IN; one brother; Charles (Marilyn) Rupert, Lima, OH and one sister-in-law, Pat Rupert, Fostoria, OH; and nine grandchildren . 

Deceased is one son, David; one grandchild, Joshua Brandt, and one brother, Marvin Rupert.

Services will be held Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga,  with Pastor Randall Swanson officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. 

Friends may call at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 2-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

She will be sadly and greatly missed by her family and friends.
