Born on June 25, 1922 in Cincinnati, she was a daughter of the late John & Nevillia Apgar Hunsaker.
She married John Roscoe Hamilton on July 6, 1942, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2006.
Surviving are their seven children: Jim (Sharon) Hamilton, Dan Hamilton, Bill (Barb) Hamilton and Ken Hamilton, all of Mendon, Suzanne Sharpe of Spencerville, and Don (Kathy) Hamilton and Esther Hamilton, both of Coldwater, 11 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grand, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Nellie is also survived by her sisters: Rose Moser of Celina, Evelyn (George) Chiles of St. Marys, Helen (Ken) Eckhart of New Bremen, Wanda Miller of Minster, and Juanita Dalrymple of Columbus, a sister-in-law, Helen Hunsaker of Celina, and a brother-in-law, Kenny Sawmiller of Spencerville.
Preceding her in death was a son, Gary Hamilton, sisters: Mary Sawmiller and June (Dale) Clutter, brothers: Bud (Mandy) Hunsaker and Gene Hunsaker,
and brothers-in-law, Warren Moser, Clyde Miller Jr. and Jay Dalrymple.
A homemaker, Nellie also worked for a short time at the cigar factory in St. Marys, and at Huffy Bicycles in Celina. She was a member of the Hamilton-Bethel United Methodist Church, near Mendon.
Nellie and her husband enjoyed the many years they spent their winters in Frostproof, Florida. She liked crocheting, and making and collecting dolls.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 6 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, with Pastor Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton-Bethel Cemetery, near Mendon.
Calling Hours are from 3-7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 5, and 10-11:00 A.M. on Friday, at the Mendon Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sons, Ron (Jan) Hertel, Celina, and Larry (JeAnne) Hertel, Ft. Meyers, FL; a daughter, Janice Hoelscher, Celina; a sister, Emma (Bob) Early, VA; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by four brothers, Morris (Ada) Saam, Gerald (Janet) Saam, James (Ellen) Saam, and Wilson (Rosetta) Saam; a sister, Dorothy (William) Blakey; and a son-in-law, Jerry Hoelscher.
Audrey was a 1939 graduate of Van Wert High School. She retired for Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 25 plus years of service.
She was a member of Mount Tabor Church of God, Celina. She enjoyed quilting, reading, puzzles, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at Noon on Friday, May 6, 2016 in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Pastor Tim Hollinger officiating.
Calling hours are from 10:00 am until time of services at Noon on Friday, at the Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
