Robert A. Jones Sr., 85, of Celina, Ohio, died at 1:05 am May 29, 2011, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.

He was born June 10, 1925 in Darke Co., Ohio to Charles T. and Emma (Huffman) Jones. On January 16, 1948 he married Betty Stephens who survives.

Other survivors are three sons, Robert A. (Bonnie) Jones Jr., St. Marys, Ohio; Jerrold W. (Mary Jane) Jones, California; Charles S. Jones, Celina, Ohio; one daughter, Cyndy (Ermon) Huston, Celina, Ohio, nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son James “Jim” Jones; two brothers Charles Jones, John E. Jones; four sisters, Helen McClellan, Virginia Shank, Luella Johnson, Maxine Jones.

Robert was a graduate of Pallestine High School and a graduate Miami Jacobs, Dayton, Oh. He retired from New Idea in 1987 and RCS, Rockford, Ohio. He served in WWII Veteran, 953 Rd Field Artillery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday June 1, 2011 in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Neumann officiating. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
