 Gloria Jean
Miller 76, of Rockford,
died at
5:30AM Sunday, November 18, 2007 at
Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
She was born July 29, 1931, in Napoleon, Ohio the daughter of the late
Edward and Dorothy (Mumford) Mengerink . She was married to Roma
Miller, who died in 1997.
Mrs. Miller retired from Aeroquip in Van Wert and was the former manager
of Smith Nursing Home in Rockford. She
was a member of Olive Branch Church of God, a volunteer for the American
Red Cross, Mercer County Election volunteer, Cub Scout Den Mother and
sang in the annual Rockford Lions' Club Variety Show..

Scottsdale, AZ; James (Bev) Miller, Geneva, IL; Linda (Jeff) White, Van
Wert, OH; Max (Ruth) Miller, Tekonsha, MI; Ginny (Randy) Turner,
Hilliard, OH, Brian Miller, Rockford, OH; and a daughter-In-Law Marti
Miller, Chattanooga, TN; brothers: Donald “Buddy” (Barb) Mengerink, Van
Wert, OH; John Mengerink, Van Wert, OH: Roger (Carol) Mengerink, Van
Wert, OH; Larry (Diane) Mengerink, Van Wert, OH; Chuck (Melanie)
Mengerink, Nashville, TN; Kenneth “Butch” (Karen) Mengerink, Van Wert,
OH; and sisters: Dorothy (Tim) Agler, Ohio City OH; Meredith High,
Miamisburg, OH; Pat Holtsberry, Van Wert, OH. She had 19 grandchildren
and 14 great-grandchildren.
A son, Karl E. Miller, MD,
two sisters, Joyce Williams & Marilyn
Dempsey and two brothers,
Edward & Robert Mengerink, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November
21, at Olive Branch Church of God near Ohio City, OH, with Reverend
Steve Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Rockford Cemetery
in Rockford.
Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, at the Alspach -
Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory in Van Wert and one hour prior to
services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or the
church.
