SEIBERT

Shirissa Marcele Darlene Seibert, 19, of Mendon passed away Wednesday evening, Nov. 9, 2011 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys from injuries sustained earlier in an automobile accident on Celina-Mendon Rd.
 
She was born December 30, 1991 in Coldwater to Terry & Darla ( Welker ) Seibert, who survive in Mendon.
 
Also surviving are her Brother: Seth Seibert and Sister: Sarah Seibert, both of Mendon, her Paternal Grandmother: Peggy Wheeler of Celina, Maternal Grandparents: Shirley ( Joe ) Kemper of Maria Stein, and a Step-Grandfather: Dennis Wheeler of Mendon.
 
Preceding her in death were: her Paternal Grandfather: Larry Lee Seibert, Maternal Grandfather: Stanley D. Welker
and 3 Uncles: Darrell Seibert and Dana & Darren Welker.  
 
She worked as a server at Bob Evans Restaurant in Celina.
 
She was the winner of the Ohio Has Talent ! competition held at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert. She was a candidate in the 2010 Van Wert Peony Festival Pageant, winning the Talent competition. She had performed at the Country Star playoffs and the Allen County Fair Karaoke Contest, receiving 2nd place at both events. She had performed at the Relay for Life and Freedom Days Festival in Celina and entertained for 5 years at the Mendon Firecracker Festival. 
 
She was a 2010 Graduate of Parkway High School, where she had been a member of the National Honor Society; Band, Choir and Show Choir and the Drama, Art, German and Science Clubs.
 
She was a student at Wright State University Lake Campus
and had just been accepted to the Music Therapy program at Capital University, Columbus.
 
She had studied at Kim Hohman's DanceWorks in Van Wert for 8 years. 

 
She was a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church and its Youth Group. 
 
Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 14 at Mendon United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
 
Calling Hours will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, November 13 and 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Monday at Mendon United Methodist Church.
 
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family's choice.

NAVE
Olga Elizabeth (Merkle) Nave, 91, of Rockford, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Swan Creek Nursing Home in Toledo.
She was born March 13, 1920, in Van Wert, the daughter of Bertha (Parker) and Lewis Merkle.

In December of 1942 she married Ralph H. Nave, and he died in 1993.

Surviving are a son, Scott (Jody) Nave, of Sandusky; and two daughters, Kathy Nave, of Maumee, and Pamela (Richard) Walen of Toledo; two siblings, Margaret (Lloyd) Baker, St. Marys, and David (Barb) Merkle, Ohio City; and a sister-in-law, Jennie Merkle, Montezuma.

 

Deceased are two sisters, Marie Lessner and Martha Pudsey; a brother, Lewis Merkle; and two brothers-in-law, Lloyd Baker and Ralph Pudsey.

 

She graduated from the former Rockford High School and was a secretary at the school. She also was an aide at Smith Nursing Home and a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She served as a clerk for the village of Rockford and as an officer and Sunday school teacher for First Presbyterian Church, Rockford. She was a member of the Rockford Garden Club and volunteered at Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011  at Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys, with the Reverend Richard Hays officiating. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
