UHRICK

Allen A. Uhrick, age 67, of Mendon, passed away Tuesday, 

September 11, 2018, at Mercy Health - St. Rita’s Medical Center, in Lima.

Born March 11, 1951, in Blackford County, IN, he was a son of the late Harry A. & Ruby I. ( Reynolds ) Uhrick. 

Allen married Chris Petering on May 31, 1975, and she survives, 

along with their son & daughter: Stacy ( Eric ) Topp of Mendon 

and Chad ( Nikki ) Uhrick of Celina; 4 grandchildren: Christopher 

& Micheal Bechtold and Austin & Reagen Uhrick; a brother: 

Robert ( Vicky L. ) Fields of Mendon; step-brothers: Charles 

( Joyce ) Uhrick of Indianapolis, IN and Larry ( Mary ) Uhrick 

of Morrisonville, IL; a brother-in-law, Mike Seyler of Union 

City, IN; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Uhrick of Circleville, OH.

He was preceded in death by a sister & brothers: Isabelle Seyler, 

Ray Fields, and Orlie Uhrick. 

Allen retired from Federal Mogul National Seal in Van Wert,

after 42 years of service.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 

camping, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

A 1971 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, Allen went on to 

earn an Associate Degree at ITT Tech in Fort Wayne.  He served 

as a Volunteer Fireman for the village of Mendon for many years.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 

at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, with Pastor 

Jason Boroff officiating.  Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.  

Calling Hours are from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, and 

an hour prior to services on Saturday, at the Mendon Funeral Home.
